Halasana, the Plough Pose


INSTRUCTIONS
:

Starting from Viparita Karani pose,  bring both legs over your head until the toes touch the floor behind your head. Try to keep your knees straight.

After about 20 seconds, try to gradually slide the toes together farther straight along the ground and slowly curve the spine to the maximum limit. Lift your arms and slowly rest them on the ground on either sides of your head.

Be careful! If you have a spine not very flexible, pay a lot attention to this pose, since may be dangerous.

 

BENEFITS: Halasana is the most important posture for spine and prevents premature degeneration of it, since a lot of blood is sent to nerves.It is an ideal exercise to ensure regular bowl movement.

The pancreas is rejuvenated. and you will also experience better digestive power.

Superfluous fat on the hips, waist, thighs and abdomen gets slowly reduced.

If you are suffering from any health condition, it is advisable not to perform these postures unless under the supervision of an experienced yoga instructor.
