INSTRUCTIONS:
Sit, stretching both the legs together in
front, hands by the side, palms resting on the ground.
Fingers should remain together pointing forward. Loosen your
back muscles and bend the body forward as far as possible.
This posture is quite difficult for
beginners, especially if males.
BENEFITS:
Paschimottanasana ha a lot of benefical effects: removes
constipation, dyspepsia and seminal weaknesses, increases
appetite, reduces obesity, and cures diseases. activates the
gonad glands and the adrenals as they are activated through
the supply of blood, makes joints more flexible and tones up
the nerves.
If you are suffering from any health condition, it is advisable not to perform these postures unless under the supervision of an experienced yoga instructor.
