Salabhasana, the Locust Pose



INSTRUCTIONS
:

Lie down flat, face to the floor. Place your arms on your sides and stretch your hands backward, palms facing up. Place your front on the floor.

 Raise your legs and your waist with your fists clenched. Repeat this 3-4 times.

This is a quite strenous asana, but with great benefits.

 

 

BENEFITS: This posture improves the general circulation in the lower limbs, and brings big benefits. The muscles of the back are developed. Diabetes is kept under control. Stomach ailments and gastric problems are alleviated. Digestion is improved.

If you are suffering from any health condition, it is advisable not to perform these postures unless under the supervision of an experienced yoga instructor.
