Savasana, the corpse pose

INSTRUCTIONS
:

In this pose the body can fully relax. It is generally used to begin and conclude a yoga session.

Come to lie down on the back, bring the arms along the body, but slightly separated from it, and turn the palms to face upwards. Allow your whole body to become soft and heavy, letting it relax into the floor. As the body relaxes, feel the whole body rising and falling with each breath.  Release and relax any areas that you find, looking for tension, tightness and contracted muscles.

BENEFITS: Savasana is a very important pose, that should never be overlooked. The modern man is not able to really relax, and this generally causes him a lot of troubles. With Savasana (if correctly performed) the body can fully relax, and this is excellent for whole being.

If you are suffering from any health condition, it is advisable not to perform these postures unless under the supervision of an experienced yoga instructor.
