INSTRUCTIONS:
Stand with your feet two apart. Inhale and
raise both arms straight out from the shoulders parallel to
the floor with the palms facing down. Draw in a deep breath
as you slowly lower your right hand to the side of your
right thigh. and raise your left arm, palm facing front,
fingers pointing upward..
The palm of the right hand is placed along
the outside of the left ankle. The left arm has to be
extended upward. Legs and arms are kept straight without
bending the knees and elbows.
Exhale as you guide your right hand as far down the right
leg as it will stretch, maintaing your left arm upwards.
Hold this position for a few seconds. Inhale as you
straighten up slowly . Assume your original position. Repeat
the same to the opposite side.
BENEFITS: This is a very good pose
per the spine, that becomes more flexible. Trikonasana
stimulates blood flow to the head, and helps to stretch and
relax the back, shoulders, legs and arms. It is
effective against some infectious diseases.
If you are suffering from any health condition, it is advisable not to perform these postures unless under the supervision of an experienced yoga instructor.
